Adam Lander Obituary

Adam J. Lander, 25, of Knox passed away on Monday, January 5, 2026 from injuries sustained in a vehicle accident.

Born July 25, 2000, in Franklin, Adam was the son of Russell and Julie Lander.

Adam graduated from Keystone High School in 2018, he worked as a Junior Inspector for DJA Inspection out of Oil City.

Adam spent many years of his life as a Cub Scout and Boy Scout with Troop 55 earning the rank of Eagle Scout the summer before his senior year. Adam traveled to Philmont, NM and Canada with the scouts, hiking hundreds of miles, many of which in his beloved Crocs.  Adam joined the Knox United Methodist Church when he was 12 and participated in Youth Group, church plays and sharing his beautiful bass voice to glorify God.  Adam lived life to its fullest. He truly enjoyed meeting new people and had a kind word and a smile for everyone.  He enjoyed golfing, bowling, and skiing. Adam loved music of all kinds and attended concerts everywhere. He liked putting off fireworks and watching all sports, especially football.   But most of all Adam loved his friends.  He spent countless hours with them and nothing made him happier.  It’s been said that Adam was the glue that held them all together.  

Adam is survived by his parents Russell and Julie of Knox, a sister Becca (Logan) English of Marble, his grandmother Nancy Weeter of Emlenton, his aunts and uncles Pam and Lon Baker of Marble, Cindy and Terry Black of Knox, Donna and Jeff Wilkinson of Colorado, Jody and Doug Rhea of Knox, Brenda and Phil Kapp of Miola and Diana and Rick Straitiff of Strattanville; numerous cousins and all of the friends that loved him so much.

Adam was preceded in death by his grandparents Ken Weeter and Joan and Russ Lander.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 PM and 6 to 8 PM on Friday, January 9, 2026 and 9 to 11 AM Saturday, January 10th at the Knox United Methodist Church, 9729 Rt 338, Knox.  Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday in the church with Rev. Wade Barto officiating.  Interment will follow in the Salem Reformed Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flower the family asks memorial contributions be made to the Knox United Methodist Church, 9729 Rt 338, Knox, PA 16232.
