Judith M. (Turner) Corbett

Judith M. Corbett, 81, of Knox passed away on Friday, December 5, 2025 at the UPMC Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Born on July 21, 1944, in Oil City, Judy was the daughter of the late Glenn and Beatrice Turner.

Judy graduated from Oil City High School and went on to get her Bachelor’s Degree from Clarion University.  She worked as a director at the Clarion County Tax Claims Bureau and the Terry W. Kahle Kubota dealership.

On August 12, 1965, Judy married Merlyn Corbett who preceded her in death on November 1, 2025.

Judy’s family was her everything.  She loved her grandkids and great grandkids more than anything.  She enjoyed setting up and shopping at craft shows, and staying to visit with all the people she met. She loved taking rides and spending time with her husband.

Judy is survived by a daughter Michele Hartzell; her grandchildren Shelby (Colin) Hartzell and Nicole (Robert) Pearce; her great grandchildren Eleanor White, Junior Pearce, Toby Pearce and Madelyn Pearce all of Knox; a sister Nancy (Jack) Swanson of Warren, a sister in law Lois Passanisi of Oil City; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with her husband and parents Judy was preceded in death by her daughter Tobie Ann Corbett and two brothers Fank Turner and Meryl Turner.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 PM on Tuesday, December 9, and from 10 to 11 AM on Wednesday at the McEntire-Weaver Funeral Home, 504 East Penn Ave, Knox.  Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday in the funeral home with Shane Zerbe officiating. Interment will take place at the Bethel Cemetery in Franklin.

In lieu of flowers the family asks memorial donation be made to the Clarion Forest VNA, 271 Perkins Road, Clarion PA 16214.
