Kay J. Emrick, 91, of Knox, passed away on Monday, November 24, 2025 at the Laurel Brook Landing in Brookville.
Born on September 12, 1934, in Knox, Kay was the daughter of the late Calvin and Mildred McMillen.
Kay graduated from Ashland High School; she worked at the KGC Federal Credit Union for over thirty years before retiring.
On June 13, 1953, Kay married Charles Emrick who preceded her in death.
Kay was a girl scout leader from 1968 to 1975; she was a longtime member of the Grace E.C. Church in Ninevah. She enjoyed sewing doll clothes with her sister Dee and liked to read. Kay was an avid bowler; her highest game was 275.
Kay is survived by her daughters Linda (Wally) Goughler of Cranberry and Sue Emrick of Shippenville; her grandchildren Kari (Jason) Best of Knox and Kalyn (Joey) Bruce of Knox; her great grandchildren Rowen and Lyncoln Best and a sister in law Arlene McMillen.
Along with her husband and parents, Kay was preceded in death by a son Brent Emrick, a brother Ken McMillen, a sister Dee Jane Cotherman and her husband Bun.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, December 1, 2025 at the McEntire-Weaver Funeral Home, 504 East Penn Ave., Knox, Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in the funeral home with Pastor Michael Will, of Grace E.C. Church officiating. Interment will follow at Starr Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial be made to the Grace E.C. Church, 2561 Grace Church Road, Knox PA 16232.
