Pamela Sue Black, 74, of Sligo, passed away at home on Saturday, January 24, 2026 with her family at her side.
Born on August 19, 1951, in Clarion, Pamela was the daughter of the late Clair and Beverly Ferringer.
Pamela attended Clarion High School. She worked as nurses aid at the Clarion Care Center, in nursing homes and private personal care, she also worked at the Clarion Uni-Mart.
On July 16, 1988, Pamela married Frank Black who preceded her in death.
Pamela enjoyed spending time with her family and camping with her beloved husband.
Pamela is survived by her children Richard Zellefrow of Philadelphia, Pamela (Zellefrow) Barger of Clarion, Christopher Zellefrow of Sligo, Charles Zellefrow of New York, Renee (Aaron) Downey of Knox, Holly (Lani) Cramer of Brockway; fifteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
Along with her husband and parents Pamela was proceeded in death by her sons Frank Black Jr., Corey Black, Keith Zellefrow and Wally Zellefrow; a granddaughter Brianna Black and two infant siblings Herold and Bonnie Ferringer.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at the McEntire-Weaver Funeral Home Inc., 504 East Penn St., Knox. Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home with Pastor Harry Hoff, of the Hope Rising Church officiating. Interment will take place at Church Hill Cemetery.
